Undoubtedly one of the finest Stately
Homes in Scotland, Hopetoun House epitomises all
that was great in the 18th century. The oldest part of
the house was designed by Sir William Bruce at the
beginning of the 18th century and William Adam a renowned
Scottish Architect enlarged the house around 1721.
The elegant State
Apartments are available for smaller wedding ceremonies
of up to 60 guests and formal bridal photographs, whilst
the elegant Adam Stables can be hired for the larger
services of up to 150 guests, or a smaller wedding
receptions of up to 80 guests. The most beautiful room
however at Hopetoun is reserved for the grandest weddings.
The Adam Ballroom, complete with 3 crystal chandeliers,
seventeenth century tapestries and eighteenth century
flooring, is availlable for wedding receptions of between
80 and 200 guests.
Hopetoun is only 15
minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 12 miles from
Edinburgh.
